Miles Pennington is a Professor of Design Led Innovation at the University of Tokyo and Co-Director of the DLX Design Academy. He oversees the DLX Design Lab which promotes collaborations between design and science research. He was previously Head of Program of the Innovation Design Engineering (IDE) joint Masters programme with Imperial College at the Royal College of Art in London, where he also founded and led the international exchange programme Global Innovation Design (GID). In addition to his academic work, he was a Director of the innovation consultancy Takram. Pennington completed the Royal College of Art IDE program in 1992 and joined the University of Tokyo in 2017.
